Introduced for the first time in the book Science and Art of Dermal Filler, the Goldincision technique for the treatment of cellulite grades III and IV developed by Dr. Roberto Chacur was exhibited at the 24th World Congress of Dermatology that took place from 10 to 15 June 2019 in Milan, Italy.
Since 1889, the event has been promoted every four years by the International League of Dermatological Societies.
About the World Congress of Dermatology
Since the historic inaugural event, the World Congress of Dermatology has been held on 23 occasions and currently takes place only once every four years under the auspices of the International League of Dermatology.
For its 130th anniversary in 2019, the World Dermatology Congress will return to its European roots, where the Italian Society of Dermatology will host us in Milan.
The 24th World Congress of Dermatology will bring together international experts to share professional experiences, knowledge and skills to improve patient care. WCD 2019 will also attract thousands of participants from the 180 global societies that now form ILDS.
About Dr. Roberto Chacur
For the treatment, now known as Goldincision, Chacur helped develop a beveled gold needle on both sides with a hole in the tip to facilitate anesthesia, filling and detachment of fibrous septa.
The technique was described for the first time in the book Science and Art of Filling (AGE Editor, 2018), a publication that contributes to the democratization of knowledge about infiltrative implants.
Dr. Roberto Chacur is a member of the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), associated with the Brazilian Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (SBLMC) and a founding partner of the Leger Clinic, where he serves in the units of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
